In January 2016, YAMAGUCHI MICA has newly established "YAMAGUCHI MICA
Code of Conduct"
based on the YAMAGUCHI MICA corporate philosophy.
YAMAGUCHI MICA makes "Contributing to the prosperity and development
of the society through
the manufacturing and sales of powders of natural raw materials composed
mainly of mica" as our
mission, complies with the discipline of society in its activities, seeks to respect human rights and to
preserve the global environment, and becomes a model of society, aiming
a mutual prosperity with
everyone of all stakeholders consisting of customers, suppliers, employees
and local community.
At the same time, we will also ask all the business partners for sustainable business activities with
high ethical standards as well.
YAMAGUCHI MICA will celebrate its 70th anniversary in 2021. Towards the distinctive year and
further ahead of the future, we will continue to make every effort to contribute
to the realization
of sustainable society. |
| 1. Human rights |
YAMAGUCHI MICA makes efforts so that there are no discriminatory acts due
to gender, age,
nationality, race, ethnicity, religion, language, or other factors such as opinion, disability, health
status and sexual harassment. We will also ask the business partners to
make the same respect
for human rights. |
| 2. Compliance |
YAMAGUCHI MICA will seek to comply with the laws and regulations that are
applied in all countries
and regions to perform the business activities. We will also ask the business
partners to make the
same compliance. |
| 3. Labor practices |
YAMAGUCHI MICA prohibits child labor and forced labor, maintains clean
and healthy work places,
and pays a minimum or more wage to employees by taking into account the
compliance related to
working conditions and the respect for the right to organize, etc. We will also ask the business
partners to make the same labor practices. |
| 4. Business practices |
YAMAGUCHI MICA will comply with the laws and regulations related to fair
trades to be applied in
all countries and regions to perform the business activities, seeking to prevent fraud and corruption
such as extortion and bribery as well as to exclude any anti-social forces
including the business
relationship with them. We will also ask the business partners to make
the same business practices. |
5. Environmental
protection |
YAMAGUCHI MICA will pursue the production, distribution, sales with a low environmental load
with the effective use of limited natural resources in mind, seeking to
achieve harmony between the
society and the global environment. In addition, through its business activities,
we will actively
involve in the environmental conservation, seeking to be able to contribute
to the development of
sustainable society that is friendly to both nature and human, such as
the reduction of greenhouse
gas emissions, resource conservation and recycling, and the prevention
of pollution. We will also ask
the business partners to make the same environmental conservation activities. |
| 6. Social contribution |
YAMAGUCHI MICA wish to appeal natural mica to the whole world and sincerely hope the people
to build a stable livelihood and to get healthy living environment through
engaging mica mining
work and we will contribute to society by doing tree planting and passing
on our profit to mica
mining area. |
